![]() ![]() Virginia ChirskyGinny’s skills in organizing, planning, and implementing a “can do” attitude was just what the organization needed in December of 2007. Ginny retired from Wachovia bank operations in 1996 with 19 years of consumer credit background and held the positions of Vice President of Mortgage, and Credit Card Operations; Ginny holds certificates in Leadership and Communications Skills and was the past president of the Consumer Credit Association of Greater New Haven. Ginny is currently employed at RE/MAX Flagship of East Hartford. In February of 2006, at 60 years old Ginny learned to swim, signed up for a “learn to row” program at the New Haven Rowing Club and also served as a coxswain for a crew that raced in the Head of the Housatonic. This experience led to volunteering at the QRWA Annual Canoe/Kayak Race and evidentially getting into a canoe for the first time with race coordinator and board member Paul Roy. Entering the QRWA 26th Annual Canoe/Kayak Race did not win her any medals but she did get to use her swimming skills that day. Ginny is a 30 year resident of Meriden, served on the Meriden Library Board and Literacy Volunteer Program; enjoys gardening, cooking and is a member of a local book club. She can be found walking on the Meriden Linear Trail with her rescue Bassett Hound, Ollie or Kayaking on the shores of Hanover Pond.
