![]() ![]() Film Night with Audubon CTThe Work of 1,000December 17, 20112:00 PM QRWA Environmental Education Center 540 Oregon Road Meriden, CT 06451 › Driving Directions ORWA To Host Environmental Films - Nov. 17th at 6:30 p.m. & Dec. 17th, at 2:00 p.m. Audubon Connecticut, in partnership with the Yale Peabody Museum, Wallingford Public Library and Quinnipiac River Watershed Association (QRWA) will host a series of environmental films focused on the health of waterways, harmful effects of toxins in the environment and environmental stewardship. QRWA will host two of the films for public viewing at QRWA's environmental education center at 540 Oregon Road, Meriden November 17 and December 17. The November 17th film, shown in the evening, is “Living Downstream”, focusing on a survivor’s personal mission to fight toxins in water. The December 17th movie, shown in the afternoon, is “The Work of 1,000”, a true story of grassroots activism on behalf of the Nashua River. Representatives from environmental organizations participating in the film program will be at each of the film screenings to speak with the public about the Quinnipiac River and the work they are doing to protect the watershed’s natural resources. On Nov. 17th doors open at 6 p.m. and the evening’s film will begin at 6:30 p.m. On Dec. 17th, doors open at 1 p.m. and the film will begin at 2 p.m. The programs are free to the public, made possible by support from the Quinnipiac River Fund of the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.
